Inspired by the fame of Kolkata South Point School, Engr. M.A.Rashid, a visionary businessman, also Chairman of SPSC aimed to start another South Point School in Dhaka. He along with the eminent educationist and Principal, Mrs. Hamida Ali founded the school in 2002. The journey began from a small individual rented two storied building in Road No. 22, Gulshan1. In the crowd of westernised modern English Medium Schools SPSC started with a commitment of providing and practicing Bengali culture in an English Medium School with the motto “A School with a Difference...”. Hence it has enjoyed the strong support from the community since its commencement of academic activities in January 2003.
